LENT IS HERE. Wednesday Lenten services will continue throughout March and April 1 at 7:00 p.m. The pastors are again planning a Lenten round robin, as we have done for the last several years. The theme this year will be Seed-Grains of Prayer; exploring some very short, but powerful, prayers in the Bible. Maundy Thursday will be April 9, Good Friday April 10, Easter Sunday April 12. The Wednesday Lenten offerings will be divided between the North American Lutheran Seminary and the Champaign County Christian Health Center. Join us from 6:15 pm – 6:45 pm for a simple soup meal prior to the service. If you are interested in helping provide a meal, there is one day left in need of a volunteer (March 25th).
COLLECTING BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION Jim and I (Cheryl Heinold) are supporter of the St. Joseph’s Indian school in Chamberland, South Dakota. Recently I received a letter from them about collecting Box Tops for Education for the school there. I thought this would be a good project for the B.O.B. kids and our congregation and a simple one. Please cut the Box Tops symbol off General Mills products (there is a BIG variety of products not just cereal so check all your boxes at home) and put them in the jars at the church. When we get a goodly amount we will send them to St. Joseph’s. Thanks for your support of this project.
