LEAP INTO SPRING FUNDRAISER DINNER will be on Feb. 15, 2020 at 6:30 pm at New Beginnings Lutheran Church. Dinner will be pork tenderloin, baked potato, green beans, salad and dessert. Money raised will cover shipping expenses for Little Dresses for Africa.
LITTLE DRESSES FOR AFRICA you are cordially invited to leap into spring for Little Dresses for Africa on Feb. 29, 2020 from 10 am- 4pm at New Beginnings Lutheran Church. Help embellish pillowcase dresses for little girls in Africa. Feel free to bring a pillowcase (any size) and any embellishments (lace, ribbon, appliques, buttons, etc.) or use ours. JUST SAY CHEESE Our church photo board in the Narthex is missing some smiles. Over the holiday season, take a quick photo and share it with your church family. The board provides an easy way to put faces with names, as well as, provide visual connections. Place your labeled photo in Lisa Schwarzentraub’s church mailbox and it will be posted.
WINTER GIRLFRIENDS’ GETAWAY Escape the Illinois winter and attend the Wonderful World Retreat on Saturday, January 25, 2020 beginning at 8:30 am with a continental breakfast. While there you will experience an unforgettable travel-themed retreat filled with fellowship, Bible study, time for new friends and quiet reflection. Registration can be completed following Sunday services, emailing email@example.com or calling New Beginnings Lutheran Church at 217-590-0306. Please provide the names of people attending, contact information and any allergies or dietary concerns. A registration fee of $25 per person (cash or check made out to New Beginnings Lutheran Church) is due the day of the event. This covers delicious food and snacks, program guide, fun and refreshing activities. Groups of 5 or more may receive a discounted registration of $20 per person.
