CONGREGATIONAL MEETING There will be a special meeting of the congregation on Sunday, May 19th, following worship. The only agenda item will be to vote on the recommendation of the property committee to remodel/refurbish the southeast entrance to the facility, as approved by the Leadership Team.

HELPING HANDS VOLUNTEER NEEDED – May 11 is collection day for Helping Hands. I will be out of town and am looking for someone who can take our church’s donations to their center that day. The address is 203 E Adams St. Collection time is 9 to 11:30 am. If you are available to take our church’s donations let Pastor Oman or Cheryl (586-4794) know. Thanks for your help.

BACCALAUREATE The Student-led Baccalaureate 2019 service will be Sunday, May 19 at 2:00 pm and will be held at the Mahomet Christian Church.

MEN’S FIRST MONDAY BRUNCH will be meeting on Monday, May 6th at 11:00am at the Mahomet Family Restaurant.

VBS HELPER SIGN UP SHEETS- This summer we are going to combine the VBS with B.O.B. summer camp. The “VBS/Summer” camp will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in June and July with VBS from 10-12:30 and camp from 12-2:30. VBS will be for 2y/o thru 5th graders and B.O.B. camp will be for K thru 5th. The VBS morning will include Bible studies, crafts, games and lunch. The B.O.B. camp will have lunch, outings and other activities. We will need volunteers to help with VBS and preparing lunch for the kids. We realized it was hard for people to commit for a full week so thought it may be easier to help out two days a month. You can sign up to help all 4 days or for 1 day. For VBS only we will be looking for Bible study, crafts, and game leader/leaders. Sign up sheets to help with VBS are in the narthex. Dates are June 11 & 25 and July 9 & 23 from 10 am to 12:30. Please prayerfully consider spending time with our church and community children this summer. Volunteers are what makes our VBS fun and successful!
