BAPTIZED TODAY IS EMMA LYNN LAIRD, daughter of Michael and Casandra Laird, and granddaughter of Greg and Laurie Peterson, and niece of Jacob. We rejoice in the new life the Lord is giving to Emma, and us, in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. May Emma continue to grow in the grace and love of Jesus!

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES WITH SOCIAL OUTREACH COMMITTEE –
BOB SUMMER CAMP is the 2nd and 4th Tue in June and July and runs from 10a to 1p. Kindergarten thru 5th grade and $5 per session includes outings, activities and lunch.

CANDLEWOOD LUNCHES Our congregation will be serving lunches at Candlewood Monday July 30 – Friday August 3. Thank you to the people who have already signed up. We are almost set to go but have a few last minute needs. If you are able to donate pudding cups (chocolate or vanilla) or applesauce cups, please contact Marilyn Feigl at 217-586-5078.

MAHOMET MUSIC FESTIVAL The Mahomet Music Festival will be on Aug 25 this summer. We are planning to have a booth with the focus on the Walk for Water again this year. Last year there was a lot of interest shown by people at the festival. This gives us a good opportunity to share the importance of clean water throughout the world. Watch for further information about this outreach opportunity.

WALK FOR WATER – The date for the Walk for Water has been changed to October 13 and will be held at the Lake of the Woods. There is a $10 registration fee per adult and $5 for 5-12Y/O. We are offering team T-shirts this year. Each team will have the opportunity to order T-shirts thru the church in your choice of color at $10 each. More information will be coming for registration and ordering shirts.

SUMMER MOVIE AND COOK OUT – Rally Sunday is coming on Sept 9. We will have movies for adults and kids after a congregational cook out. There will be a movie for adults in the Lifetree room and for kids in the Youth room. Social Outreach Committee invites you to bring family and friends to this celebration kick off to the church year. There will be cards for you to send or hand out to family and friends with the information. Let’s make this a grand celebration.

ATTENDANCE for Sunday, July 15th was 66 and the offering is $2,663.00.
