ADVENT The Advent Wednesday worship this year will be at 7:00 p.m. The theme is: Together in Advent. In the series we will celebrate together as the family of God the coming of His Son for our salvation. The theme verse for the series is: “Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy Name and glory in Your praise.” (Psalm 106:47). Week 4: Wrap in Love. Plan to come! The Wednesday evening Advent offering will be given to the NALC Disaster Relief and the Champaign County Christian Health Center. Go to ccchc.2003.org to learn more about the Champaign County Christian Health Center, which offers free healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured.
CHRISTMAS GIFTS There will be a box in the Nartex for gifts for Pastor and Kathi. The box will be there all this week through the services on Christmas Eve. Please feel free to drop something by to let them know how much their service means to us this Christmas season!
CHRISTMAS SERVICE SCHEDULE Christmas Eve services will be: Sunday morning at 10:00 (4th Sunday of Advent), then 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm for the Christmas Eve candlelight service. December 31st will be the Service of Readings and Carols at the 10:00 a.m. service. We will have a time a refreshments and fellowship between the Christmas Eve services next Sunday evening. Feel free to bring cookies, snacks, etc. to share.
SERVICE OF LESSONS AND CAROLS. On Sunday, December 31st, we will have a service of Lessons and Carols. We will need readers for that service. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex if you would like to read during that service. Thanks!
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AND CHICKEN AND DUMPLING DINNER. Thank you to the youth and adults for presenting the Christmas pageant this year! We always enjoy the presentation. Thank you to Cheryl Heinold and all who helped her organize the pageant this year. Thank you to Nichole Jessup and Mary Tollakson for organizing the chicken and dumpling dinner this year!
BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE OF HOPE. We will be offering a Blue Christmas service of Hope on Thursday, December 21st, at 7:00 p.m. This service is designed for all who are having a difficult time during the holidays; perhaps you are missing a loved-one, or the long nights are hard, or some other difficulty. Plan to join us for the service, and invite others who are struggling during this time of year. The service gives us comfort and hope in Jesus.

THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS WILL CONCLUDE with the Day of Epiphany on January 6th. As we begin Epiphany, we will “degreen” the church after worship on Sunday, December 31. Please help get the sanctuary ready for Epiphany by helping on December 31.
