ADVENT The Advent Wednesday worship this year will be at 7:00 p.m. The theme is: Together in Advent. In the series we will celebrate together as the family of God the coming of His Son for our salvation. The theme verse for the series is: “Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy Name and glory in Your praise.” (Psalm 106:47). Week 3: Share Joy. Week 4: Wrap in Love. Plan to come! The Wednesday evening Advent offering will be given to the NALC Disaster Relief and the Champaign County Christian Health Center. Go to ccchc.2003.org to learn more about the Champaign County Christian Health Center, which offers free healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured.

Blue Christmas Service of Hope.  We will be offering a Blue Christmas service of Hope on Thursday, December 21st, at 7:00 p.m.  This service is designed for all who are having a difficult time during the holidays; perhaps you are missing a loved-one, or the long nights are hard, or some other difficulty.  Plan to join us for the service, and invite others who are struggling during this time of year.  The service gives us comfort and hope in Jesus.

CHRISTMAS SERVICE SCHEDULE Christmas Eve services will be: Sunday morning at 10:00 (4th Sunday of Advent), then 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm for the Christmas Eve candlelight service. December 31st will be the Service of Readings and Carols at the 10:00 a.m. service.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AND CHICKEN AND DUMPLING DINNER. The Christmas program will be next Sunday, December 17th, during the worship service. The annual chicken and noodle dinner will follow during the fellowship time. Plan to come and enjoy the season!

SOUP KITCHEN AT CANDLEWOOD A soup kitchen is being organized at Candlewood. It is open to anyone in Mahomet. If you are interested in helping or being a participant, please contact Pastor Oman.

MEN’S REPAIR MINISTRY M25:40 New Beginnings Lutheran Church is developing a Home Repair Team that handles basic repairs and small projects for people in God’s Family who have a need.
