HONORING OUR VETERANS On this Veteran’s Day weekend we pause to remember and give thanks for the men and women of our country who have served in the armed services. We are establishing a display to honor the veterans of New Beginnings Lutheran Church. Part of the display includes a flag that Carole Tempel’s brother Andrew McCowen carried with him in his Blackhawk helicopter during missions in Afghanistan, and a plaque listing some of the missions his unit was involved with.
