YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN A SMALL GROUP Life’s Healing Choices is a nine week study of 8 principles from the Beatitudes taught for finding the path to spiritual renewal, true godly happiness and healing. This weekly journey, with a DVD session followed by gender specific small group discussion, will encourage spiritual growth as we learn to find hope from our hurts, help from our hang-ups, and healing from our habits by allowing God to renew and transform our lives. WALK FOR WATER OCTOBER 7th Walk for Water is less than 2 weeks away. We will need help the day of the walk. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for where volunteers are needed and what you can do to help out. If you haven’t signed up for the walk yet there are 2 teams set up or you can make your own. We will be having breakfast items before the walk and lunch after the walk. We will also be giving prizes for the largest team, the team and individual that collects the most money. If you want to order a T-shirt ($10), contact the church office rather than ordering online. The T-shirts will be ordered by Sept. 26 and be available to be picked up and paid for the day of the race. Let’s all work together to make this most successful Walk for Water we have sponsored yet! Talk to your friends and family, workplace or organizations, sports teams about having a team and think about sponsors that you can talk to for your team or yourself. HURRICANE RELIEF All of you have heard of the devastation caused by the hurricanes in recent weeks. There are many sources of help for those who have experienced loss because of the hurricanes. The NALC is one source of relief for those who have lost so much. A list of needs is in the narthex, and a tub to receive items in under the coat rack. Please consider how to help during these crises.
