REGISTER NOW FOR WALK FOR WATER The link to register for The Walk For Water is now finished and can be accessed thru the email newsletter or on our website. Talk to your friends and family, workplace or organizations, sports teams about having a team and think about sponsors that you can talk to for your team or yourself. The registration fee is adults – $10, youth – $5 and children free. There is also the opportunity to order tee shirts for $10, orders must be in by Sept 16. Our Walk for Water is Oct 7. Visit our booth at the Sangamon River Festival on Aug 26 to see what the water treatment systems look like and to get information about Water Mission organization. BRUNCH GROUP We will meet at 11:00am at the Mahomet Family Restaurant on Monday, September 11th. (Since the first Monday in September is Labor Day)

PARKING LOT We hope all are enjoying the repaved parking lot! We have been asked to provide an update on the fundraising efforts for the parking lot. So far a total of $19,420 has been donated toward the cost of resurfacing and striping the lot. The cost was $30,910. The balance was expended from the Capital Improvement fund. If you would like to contribute toward the resurfacing project please put a check in the offering plate. It would be easiest for the offering counters if a separate check was put in an envelope marked Parking Lot, or a sticky note was on the check, noting that it is for the parking lot, and a note in the memo line that it is for the parking lot. Thank you to all who contributed toward the resurfacing project.

B.O.B. AFTER SCHOOL YOUTH PROGRAM Starts Sept. 6th. Every Wednesday from 3:15p to 4:45p. Kindergarten thru 5th Grade. Bible stories and lessons, crafts, games, movies, snacks and outings.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY COURSE First Baptist Church will be offering another Financial Peace University course beginning Sept. 10 at 6:30 pm. They have a handful of course materials for those who can’t afford them on a first come-first served basis. If you are struggling with your finances, or need advice about saving for college or retirement, please consider the course. Registration forms are on the table in the narthex.
