Announcements for Week of May 14

SUMMER DAY CAMP NBLC will be having a summer day camp this summer on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in June and July from 10 am to 1 pm. This is for Kindergarten thru 4th graders. We will have a different theme for each session – nature, science, healthy eating and water with bible studies, activities and lunch/picnic to go along with each theme. We invite members of our church family to come by any one of the days to share in the fun and spend time with our youth. Watch the bulletin and newsletter for more information. More Information and registration is on the church website. There is a $20 fee for the 4 camps to cover lunches and outings. This is due on the first day of camp. We are limiting the camp to 15 campers.

ANNUAL NALC CONVOCATION The annual Convocation of the North American Lutheran Church will be August 9 – 11 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, Nashville, TN. We are allowed one voting delegate to the Convocation. This is an excellent opportunity to hear of many of the activities of the NALC and to participate in the NALC on a national level. It is an inspiring opportunity to hear of the Lord’s work through the NALC. If you are interested in being a delegate please contact Pastor Oman.

PARKING LOT FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN The congregation voted to resurface the parking lot west of the facility. We have a fundraising campaign going to defray the cost of resurfacing. Targeted contributions will be: to donate a parking space for $750, to donate half a parking space for $375, or whatever someone may want to give toward the resurfacing, and any amount is appreciated. The contributions are donations toward the parking lot, not buying a reserved space. Thank you for your contributions toward resurfacing the parking lot.

SELF-WORTH EXPLORED AT LIFETREE CAFÉ Discoveries about developing a healthy sense of self-worth will be explored at Lifetree Café on Thursday, May 18 at 12:30 p.m. at the Candlewood Pool House. The program, titled “What’s Wrong Right With You? The Surprising Truth About Self-Worth,” features an exclusive documentary film about a skid-row project that provides makeovers for homeless mothers. “Many people report feeling less than adequate,” says Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “During this program, we’ll examine a simple technique that greatly enhances self-worth—and helps people feel better about themselves.”

QUARTERLY GIVING STATEMENTS are in the basket in the narthex.
