“DEGREENING” OF THE CHURCH We will “degreen” the church on Saturday, January 7, starting at 9:00 a.m. “Degreening” involves removing and storing the Advent/Christmas decorations. Starting on January 6th, we will be in the season of Epiphany, which is a season which sheds light upon Jesus, His ministry, and Who He is as Jesus: our Savior, Immanuel: God with us. Please come and help degreen the building.
NBLC MOVIE DATE Our first movie “date” will be on January 22 during fellowship time. We will be serving brats and hotdogs along with side dishes and desserts. Our first movie is “Sully”- the story of Chesley Sullenberger, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight’s passengers and crew. Starring Tom Hanks. There will be a sign up sheet in the narthex so we will know how much food we will need to prepare. If there is an interest we will also show a movie for kids in the nursery. This is a great movie and inspiring story, and also an opportunity for good fellowship, so make plans to join us after church on Jan 22. Invite friends and family to join you for church, lunch and the movie too. In case of bad weather we will postpone the movie to Jan 29.
