Lord, Heavenly Father, your son has come to reveal your glory and power and might.

Help us be your messenger of forgiveness and hope. Renew in us a new Spirit, that we may not only live by your commands, but proclaim your love to all, and live our lives in a way that is pleasing to you. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

During this time of Lent, may we look to you who died for our sins, and become more like you in our daily lives. We ask for your help in our daily walk with you. May we pause and reflect on your great love and the tremendous sacrifice paid for our sins. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Lord, we acknowledge that lent is a time of giving. May we give of our time, talents, and resources. May we be faithful in our worship.

During this time of giving more of ourselves, may we recognize our blessings. Help each of us to grow in what we do, helping others as we go along our path. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

We thank you Lord, for our being able to celebrate with each other in times of joy. We thank you that we can also come to you and lift all concerns as we love and support each other. We pray for those that are suffering with illness, pain, loss, or any distress that is stealing their joy.

Lord, open our hearts and eyes to see, so that we recognize the needs of others. Give us the wisdom and all that is needed to do what we can to help. Give us the heart to do your will and walk in your paths.

Father, we commend all things to you, trusting in your mercy for the sake of your son, Jesus Christ.  Amen
