Heavenly Father, you are the giver of all good things. We praise you for the beauty of your creation. We glorify you for your love. We thank you for your abundant gifts. We thank you for the freedom. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Forgive us our busy lives, which cause us to neglect our neighbors’ needs and burn ourselves out with our own priorities. Lead us to rest, and let us be be refreshed in your Word and renewed in body for loving service. May we serve others with strength, your guidance, and according to our abilities. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for the leaders of the church, whom you have called and appointed to lead your sheep. Bless all who serve. Esp. as pastors, church officials, and missionaries. Keep them steadfast in faith and faithful in proclaiming Christ crucified. Please continue to bless Pastor Oman and Kathi along with this congregation here at New Beginnings. May we be a church body that reaches out to others, may we stand firm in scripture, and love and support each other as your children. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for the leaders of all nations. Grant them wisdom in decision making. For those who defend our nation, grant them a full measure of your peace in the face of uncertainty, and bring them to joyful reunions with their loved ones. May our president and government officials remember that You are God and that you are in control. May they ask for your guidance when negotiating and making decision for our land. May we as your children speak up for truth and hold them accountable. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for those who lack the basic needs of life. Use us to provide food for the hungry, clean water to those who thirst, shelter for the homeless, friendship for the lonely, and most importantly, love for those who feel unloved. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for all who are in need of your healing presence. Be present with those who are hospitalized, as well as those who are living in nursing homes and other care facilities. Bless with skill and compassion all those whom you have called to tend those who need assistance in everyday tasks, the sick and injured. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for all who grieve and are living in the season of loss, that they with us may cling to the promise of the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, your unfailing faithfulness, and the promises of everlasting life with you and all the saints of heaven.
Into your hands we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy, through your Son Jesus Christ, the Great Shepherd of the sheep. Amen
