Prayers of the People — March 1, 2015

prayerLet us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus and for all people according to their needs.

For the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church that in this season of Lent the church may be renewed through the spiritual disciplines of repentance, fasting and prayer. Lord in you mercy, hear our prayer.

For this assembly that we might grow in faith and commitment as we praise the Lord in daily faithfulness, Bless this church here at New Beginnings by giving us wisdom and directions to do your will, not only here in this church and with each other, but also in this community as well as serving wherever there is need. May the programs that are not active in this church, touch the hearts and minds of many. May each of us participate in worship, may we all take a part in all or some of the programs offered here at NB’s. Bless our worship, Bible studies, Life tree café, Sunday school, Wrapped in Prayer group and all others that part of the ministry here. Lord in you mercy, hear our prayer.

We pray for those we know, who are experiencing illness of body, mind or spirit, or who journey through the valley of darkness, and grief. May they know that nothing separates them from the love of God revealed to us in Jesus Christ our Lord.

We pray for all who are persecuted, tortured, or killed for the name of Jesus. May all those that are so misguided in their thinking and actions, find the truth and turn from their evil ways. We pray especially for the children that are being taught to hate and do terrible deeds to innocent people and to other children. Please let this madness end. Thanks for all who serve to make this a better and safer world. God, please keep them safe and may their service be fruitful in bringing peace and healing. May there be a spiritual renewal in our land and in our churches.

May we boldly proclaim that Jesus is the true Messiah. Lord in you mercy, hear our prayer.

Into Your care, merciful Father, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in Your mercy, for the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
