WELCOME TO NEW BEGINNINGS LUTHERAN CHURCH: We are glad you are worshiping with us today.
COMMUNION: All are welcome to receive the Lord’s Body and Blood who are baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and believe that Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, is truly present in, with and under the forms of bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins, life and salvation.
The center section of each Communion tray has two types of glasses. There are glasses with white grape juice, and also glasses with a lesser amount of wine. Please feel free to take which ever will best meet your needs. The communion bread is gluten-free.
PLEASE STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP: After worship you are invited to join us downstairs for refreshments and fellowship. An elevator is located at the end of the hall.

THE SUNDAY MORNING CLASS IS STUDYING THE GOSPEL OF JOHN. We have learned much about Jesus during this study, not the least of which is His great love for us, love we will see in its fullness as He willingly goes to the cross to redeem us. We always review, so feel free to join the class at any time. We meet upstairs in the Adult Sunday School Room.
FEARLESS CONVERSATION ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL MEETS AT 8:45 IN THE CAFÉ. Topics include, “Is it okay to complain to God in prayer?” and “What’s my story in God’s eyes?” Talk to Gary Schnitkey or Tim Magyar for additional information.

Disposable storage containers are also provided so that Lorraine and Ed don’t have to worry about returning anyone’s containers to them. See the sign-up sheet for available days. Lorraine and Ed’s address is 1405 N. Brookhaven Drive in Mahomet and their phone is 586-1566.
THE SOCIAL OUTREACH COMMITTEE would like to thank everyone that donated food items for the Christmas dinner bags. We took 5 bags to Lincoln Trail School where the school social worker delivered them to local families, 1 bag was given to a local person and 2 to members of our church family. There were some food items left over that will be taken to Helping Hands this month.
Helping Hands was also very appreciative of the winter coats, hats, etc that our congregation donated to them and for the toys we collected.
LADIES, MARK FEBRUARY 21ST ON YOUR CALENDARS FOR NBLC’S 2ND ANNUAL WOMEN’S RETREAT! Join us for Garden Getaway. “There is a time and season for everything,” said the writer of Ecclesiastes. He might as well have been thinking of women when he wrote this, because our lives are always changing from one season to the next! Some of these seasons are full of daisies and roses…and others feel more like a mess of thorns and weeds. But the good news is that God is here to walk with us through every new phase of life, and we have each other to share the journey. Registration and check in is from 8:30-9:00 am. We will begin at 9:00 and finish by 4:30 pm. The cost of the retreat is only $10 per person and covers delicious snacks, lunch and fun and refreshing activities. Register today and invite a friend!
END OF YEAR OFFERING STATEMENTS AVAILABLE: In an effort to save postage, offering statements are available in a wicker basket in the narthex. If you have any questions, please contact Tresa Hunsinger at 217-841-2722.
ATTENDANCE for Sunday, January 11th was 85. General offering was $3,947.00 and $140.00 was designated to the Building Fund. At the Annual Meeting in November it was suggested that the Leadership Team consider alternatives for the budgeting process. After consideration, the Leadership Team decided to combine the General Fund and the Building Fund into a unified fund. Therefore, there is no need to designate giving to the building fund.
