CARPET REPLACEMENT: The cost of replacing the carpet in the basement activity room is about $5000. It is not a budgeted item so we would like to accumulate the funds as was done with the new windows, by designated contributions. A donation progress board will mark off the contributions in $25 increments and will be displayed in the Narthex. When all 200 squares are marked off, arrangements will be made to have the carpet installed. Please make your donations payable to NBLC and indicate Carpet in the memo line of your checks. So far, $2,425.00 has been donated.
SOUND SYSTEM UPGRADE: The Buildings and Grounds Committee would like to let the congregation know that in the next couple of weeks we will be working on upgrading the sound system. We will now have the organ and all the microphones running through the same system. We are also adding two microphones for the reader theaters and other performances in the sanctuary. This will help the sound be uniform throughout the sanctuary and will hopefully let us have a better worshipping experience.
THERE WILL BE THREE NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE IN THE CONGREGATION, THERE WILL BE THREE NEW AREAS OF SERVICE: a fellowship committee – which will work on planning and organizing fellowship opportunities for the congregation; a stewardship committee – which will work on the stewardship of the member’s time, talents, and treasures; and a helping ministry committee – which will seek ways that NBLC can reach out to members of the congregation, the Mahomet area, our region, nationally, and internationally when and where needs arise. If you would like to serve on one or more of these committees please contact Pastor Oman or Bobbie Schnitkey. Be in prayer as to how you can serve the Lord.

Money is one of God’s gifts to people.
“Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions,
and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot
and be happy in his work — this is a gift of God” (Eccl. 5:19).
