Last Worship at Sportsmen Club of Urbana on September 30

A remnant of Christians began worshiping together at the Sportsmen’s Club of Urbana on Pentecost, May 27, 2012.  Our worship at the Sportsmen’s Club has been blessed by the Holy Spirit.  We have felt God in our presense and have worshiped him.  We have sang songs and have had the word of God preached to us by pastors of the North American Lutheran Church of America. We have received holy communion. We have had fellowship after worship.

Attendees at Sportsmen’s Club of Urbana

We will be leaving the Sportsmen Club after our September 30th worship to move into our church home at 304 E Dunbar Street. While we are looking forward to the move, leaving the Sportsmen Club will be with some sadness. The Sportsmen Club has been a good home, a place for us to gather in peace and joy, and experience the presence of God.

Come for our last worship at the Sportsmen’s Club of Urbana at 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 30th. It is located at 706 West Hickory Street, Mahomet, Illinois. Pastor Barbara Busboom will be officiating, as she did at our first worship together. We will praise God and then have fellowship afterwords. Continue to pray for New Beginnings, that the Holy Spirit will continue to dwell in us and lead us, and that New Beginnings will be a light of God’s love to the world. This we pray in Jesus’ name.
